About Us/Welcome

In an effort to reach our growing home school population, we have combined the best aspects of public schools and learning at home. Enrolled families meet on a predetermined regular basis with an experienced educator who is knowledgeable in setting goals and objectives, suggesting alternatives, recommending resources, and assessing progress.

High school students work closely with our school counselor and depending on the amount of credits earned, have the choice of graduating with either a James A Taylor High School diploma or a North Mason High School diploma.

Students in the HomeLink program utilize Edgenuity as their primary instructional program. Edgenuity is a computer-based learning system which offers a large on-line library of interactive instructional courseware. Students have an on-line teacher and a HomeLink mentor to assist them in their educational progress. Credit is granted when students complete and master all on-line and off-line work.

High school students work on one course (.5 credit) at a time with a completion date of three weeks. The at-home time requirement is 27 hours per week with a computer and internet required.

The HomeLink lab is located in the James A Taylor High School building. Please contact Katelin Lacoste, School Counselor at 360-277-2293 or email klacoste@northmasonschools.org for more information.
