Course Pace Requirements
Career Education 1 credit (May take Careers in Education, Business Comm., Career & Life Skills, or Marketing II
Electives 3.5 credits
English 4 credits (Two credits within the first three terms)
Fine and Performing Arts 1 credit
Math 2 credits (Full year of 9th grade math recommended, student enters at pre-algebra or lower)
Physical Education 2.5 credits (.5 must be in Health)
Science 2 credits
Social Studies 3 credits
Culminating Project/Presentation Portfolio Samples
PNWH 0 credit if met in middle school
Total Minimum 20 credits

Certificate of Academic Achievement- The graduating class of 2008 will be the first class required to earn the certificate of academic achievement.  This standard shall be met by passage of specific WASL exams as per RCW 28A.655.060.  The Certificate of Academic Achievement shall be a graduation requirement, but not the only requirement for graduation from high school.

Culminating project and Presentation- Each student enrolled in ninth grade after July 1, 2004, shall complete a culminating project for graduation.  The project consists of students demonstrating learning competencies and preparations related to learning goals three and four.

In addition to the required credits listed above, all students in Classes 2008 and beyond will be required to complete a High School and Beyond Plan:  each student shall have an education plan for his/her high school experience, including what he/she expects to do the year following graduation.
