The Belfair Elementary Environmental Studies/Garden Club is an exciting afterschool opportunity for students
in first through fifth grades to learn about and participate in the care of our environment. We do planting,
weeding, pruning, composting, and cleanup along Sweet Water Creek.
Depending on donations, we plant seasonal plants around the school. We'll soon plant native shrubs and trees to help the salmon in the riparian ecosystem along Sweet Water Creek. We take weekly hikes to look for signs of healthy water. Every fall and spring we have a gardening session with approximately 30 students and always appreciate volunteers to assist us in having a safe and joyful learning experience.
