Husky Cafe'

Welcome to the Husky Cafe` webpage! We would like to thank you for your support and the privilege of serving you, our customers. At the Husky Cafe`, we make food and coffee, providing customer service when we deliver the coffees.

The Husky Cafe` staff and students are kind, patient, respectful, and hardworking. Each team of staff members has a food handlers card. We are learning real life skills and building our confidence as we prepare for life after school. The students are learning how to make coffees, create resumes, cover letters, interviews, customer service, how to get a job, how to keep a job (e.g. dressing for success, good hygiene), making itineraries, teamwork, advertising, technology, cooperation, making recipes, math skills, handling money, budgeting, planning field trips, social skills and communication, food/coffee preparation, and safety. That is why the Husky Cafe is a fabulous thing for the staff and students.

Our young employees have been working very hard for their Payday field trip. Rather than being paid with money, the students are being rewarded for their hard work with a field trip. They have been busy accruing their required hours and planning for this opportunity. Students make all the arrangements, including making phone calls, permission slips, creating itineraries, planning for lunches, scheduling, working with administration for approvals, and completing checklists.

We also have the commons window open for coffee orders and delivery after mindfulness 1^st period, 3^rd period, and 4th period. Also, all payments are now made at the common’s location. As always, it saves time for all if you keep a tab, but we will gladly accept daily payments as well.

Pre-orders may be made at any time in room 100 or call ext. #2136. There is a table set up by the door with order forms. Please take a form from the brown basket, complete it and put it into the red basket. Instructions are also posted.
