Tess Nix is certificated to teach both high school social studies and English. She has a Master’s degree in teaching and an undergraduate degree in international studies, with a minor in history.
In her almost 10 years as a teacher, she has instructed more than 2,700 students in American and world history, psychology, leadership, American and world literature, dystopic literature, and writing. She also has more than 10 years of work experience as a U.S. intelligence analyst, first, and a financial editor and writer, second.
Tess has lived all around the country, growing up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and living variously in northern Virginia, New York City, Idaho, and, finally, on the Kitsap Peninsula. She also studied abroad in Budapest, Hungary.
