Requirements for Graduation from North Mason High School
North Mason High School has four 90-minute periods a day on a block schedule which allows students to earn 8 credits each year, four each term.

CERTIFICATE OF ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT-The graduating class of 2008 will be the first class required to earn the Certificate of Academic Achievement. This standard shall be met by passage of specified WASL exams as per RCW 28A.655.060. The Certificate of Academic Achievement shall be a graduation requirement, but not the only requirement for graduation from high school.
**CULMINATING PROJECT AND PRESENTATION-Each student enrolled in ninth grade after July 1, 2004, shall complete a culminating project for graduation. The project consists of students demonstrating learning competencies and preparations related to learning goals three and four. Click here to link to more information.
***In addition to the required credits listed above, all students in Classes 2008 and beyond will be required to complete a High School and Beyond Plan: Each student shall have an education plan for his/her high school experience, including what he/she expects to do the year following graduation.
