North Mason School District is seeking membership on the District’s Community Advisory Committees. Organized in 2004, the committees have played a key role in assisting the school district to better meet the needs of our students.
Committees include Athletics, Educational Program, Budget and Finance, and Facilities. Each committee is co-chaired by a district staff member and a local resident. These co-chairs meet quarterly with the school board to discuss issues of concern at a meeting called the "Council of Key Communicators." School board members have also appointed two additional community members who reside within the boundaries of their respective districts to serve as members at-large on the Council of Key Communicators.
The Council of Key Communicators meets quarterly at the district office and provides reports to the North Mason School Board. The Council shares information from the five Community Advisory Committees to help in the decision-making processes of the district.
Community members who are interested in participating should contact David Peterson at 277-2300. Existing committee members are invited to continue without making application.
