Mr. Joslin began his career in education in 1973 as a Journalism and PE teacher at Greenway Middle School in Phoenix, Arizona.  He then taught Yearbook, Newspaper, Photography and Language Arts at Shadow Mountain High School, also in Phoenix.

Mr. Joslin moved to the business world in 1978 and worked for Josten’s, Taylor Publishing and Delmar Printing. In 1989 he moved back into the education world and taught at Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie, followed by a move to Chimacum High School as the Career and Technical Educational Director and the Dean of Students. 

In 2003, Mr. Joslin came to work as the assistant principal at Hawkins Middle School and became principal in 2004.

His wife Linda is a counselor at NMHS and youngest son Nate works for Costco in Lacey. Two daughters are married, with one living in South Carolina and one in Monroe, Washington.  His third daughter is a senior at Washington State University.
