To do his or her best at Hawkins Middle School, your student should be equipped with the following list of school supplies. Remember to check each trimester to see if your student's supplies need replenishing. If your student needs assistance, please contact our school office at 277-2302.

• 3 ring binder that can hold all subject materials
• Dividers to go in the binder
• College ruled loose leaf paper
• College ruled spiral bound notebook
• Number 2 pencils
• Pens (blue or black ink)
• Markers (washable)
• Colored Pencils
• Glue stick
• Ruler
• Protractor
• Safety compass (one with no metal point)
• Scientific calculator (TI, Casio, etc) will work for most math classes
• P.E. attire – comfortable fitting shorts, T-shirt, and non-skid tennis shoes (no black soles)

Occurring Costs before and through out the school year

Before school starts – a sports physical if planning on participating in school sports. Needs to be completed before the first day of practice, which is the first day of school.

September –

• ASB card ($30 + $15 transportation fee) – if you plan on being in any sports this year: the H.S. package is $15 to attend all HS sport events.
• Pictures – optional to purchase – packages start at about $20.
• Sports clothing if playing football or Volleyball – coaches will give specifics, but in general it would be socks, shoes, knee pads, spandex shorts.

October – December –

• Dance – one or two dances and the cost is $5, less if you’re an ASB member.
• Sports items for girls soccer and boys basketball – cleats, shin guards, socks, mouth guards for those with braces, optional under-armor and basketball shoes.
• Paw seal trip – rock n’ bowl $5.

January – March –

• Dance – one in February - $5.
• Sports items – girls basketball shoes, Boys wrestling shoes, optional under armor.
• Year books – optional $20.
• Paw seal trip to skate-land $8.

April – June –

• Track – shoes, optional under armor.
• Wild Waves Paw seal trip - approx $25 plus spending $.
