Budget & Finance The North Mason School District's annual budget is one of the most important publications that the District presents to our community. It is the instrument that sets forth a financial plan for the achievement of the goals and objectives of the school district. It becomes the community's educational plan expressed in dollars. The Citizen's Budget is a summary of the adopted budget document. The F195 - Budget document is the offical operating budget for all funds as submitted to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Part of the F195 budgeting process is the F203 - Revenue Estimates which calculates anticipated state revenues based upon projected enrollment and funding levels. The F195 Budget must be approved and adopted by the Board of Directors by August 31st.
The F196 - Annual Financial Statement is the document submitted to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction that summarizes the financial activity of the district for the fiscal year (September 1 - August 31). Financial and Single Audit - The State Auditor's office reviews the District's financial statement and conducts a Federal Single Audit under OMB Circular A-133 on an annual basis. Accountability Audit - The State Auditor's office conducts an accountability audit of the district on a biennial basis. A description of the areas of evaluation for the accountability audit is found within the report. Questions about the budget or fiancial statements may be directed to Paula Bailey, Executive Director of Finance at 360.277.2107 or pbailey@northmasonschools.org. |
